Stewardship & Balance
Protecting high ecosystems and preserving guide equity in the sovereign Himalaya.
Ethics of High Conservation
Zero-Waste Footprints
We pack out all waste, use clean-burning bio-propane for camp cooking, and ban single-use plastics. Our base camps leave no traces behind on the fragile moraines.
Guide Equity sharing
15% of all expedition profits fund guide education, family health insurance, and off-season wages, supporting the local mountain economy.
Glacial Research Support
Our expeditions collect water samples and snow depth profiles for regional climate research, mapping glacier recession in partnership with local universities.
Supporting the valleys that hold the peaks.
Sustainability is not simply environmental; it is deeply social. We collaborate with village councils in Solukhumbu and Mustang to direct tourism revenue to community-chosen initiatives.
This includes funding mountain guides' child scholarships, building local waste drop stations, and supporting traditional wool weaving cooperatives to safeguard regional artisan heritage.
Lower Solukhumbu Tree Planting
For every guest charter, we sponsor the planting of ten native pine and rhododendron trees in deforested areas, helping stabilize slopes and protect biodiversity.
